Xovee Xu is a 1st year Ph.D. student in computer science at the school of computer science and engineering, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, Sichuan, China, supervised by Profs. Fan Zhou and Jingkuan Song. He received the B.S. degree and M.S. degree in software engineering from UESTC, in 2018 and 2021, respectively. He was born in Zizhou, Yulin, Shaanxi, China, in 1996.
He is the author of several research articles published in INFOCOM, SIGIR, and CSUR. His recent research interests include social network data mining and knowledge discovery, primarily focuses on information diffusion in full-scale graphs, human behavior understanding, spatial-temporal data modeling, representation learning, and their novel applications in various social and scientific scenarios such as information cascade popularity prediction, urban flow inference, and scientific impact prediction.
He is a (student) member of the IEEE, ACM, and CCF.
Xovee lives in Chengdu, China. He speaks Chinese (Mandarin & Northern Shaanxi Dialect) and English, and he is learning Spanish as well. His Chinese name is 徐增 (which means slowly increase).
